- Guidance provided by scholars and counsellors is advisory in nature and does not constitute a legally binding fatwa or a clinical prescription
- Any AI-assisted features (such as the Nafs Assessment, guided path, and reflections) provide spiritual and emotional support only, and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or religious rulings

5. Scholar and Counsellor Standards
All scholars and counsellors on Khidma are independently verified by us. However:
- Khidma does not guarantee specific outcomes from any session
- The views expressed by scholars and counsellors are their own professional and religious opinions
- Scholars providing Islamic rulings (fatawa) do so based on the information shared during the session — rulings may differ if circumstances change or are incomplete
- Counsellors are not regulated therapists in all jurisdictions, and their guidance does not constitute regulated clinical therapy
Expert conduct. We expect every scholar and counsellor on Khidma to treat you with dignity and respect at all times. Demeaning, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful conduct toward a user is a serious breach of the standards we hold experts to, and is grounds for removal from the platform.
If an expert says or does something that made you feel unsafe, disrespected, or harmed, please tell us at connect@khidma.live. We take every such report seriously and will review it within 7 days. Where we find that an expert has engaged in egregious misconduct, we will remove them from the platform and issue you a full refund for the affected session. We may take further action as appropriate, and nothing in this process limits any rights you have under applicable law.
6. Recording and Session Content
You acknowledge and agree that session audio is transcribed by our AI service provider solely to create your session notes, after which the audio and full transcription are deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to make your own recording of a session without the explicit consent of the scholar or counsellor.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or incomplete information
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
- Share session content publicly or in any way that could harm or identify a scholar, counsellor, or other user
- Attempt to contact scholars or counsellors outside of the Khidma platform
- Harass, abuse, or threaten any scholar, counsellor, or member of Khidma's team
Khidma reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Khidma is not liable for any decisions you make based on guidance received during a session
- Khidma is not liable for technical issues arising from third-party platforms (including audio and video providers)
- Scholars and counsellors are independent professionals responsible for their own conduct and the opinions they express. Khidma's role is to verify experts before they join the platform and to respond to reports of misconduct as set out in Section 5; beyond that role, Khidma is not liable for the independent acts or omissions of an expert
- Khidma's total liability to you in connection with the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific session giving rise to the claim

11. Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, including, for users in India, rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
